                    Dear friends,

It has been such a complete JOY to offer Twelve Nights of Peace to the world!  I am honored and thrilled that I was able to share my life purpose like this.  From the moment I launched this, my life has been overflowing with synchronicities!

To bring the Twelve Nights to a close, I would recommend any number of ways to honor this beautiful time.  Inward meditation, prayer, baths, journaling, creative projects like vision boards, being in nature, meditating on a candle, and writing out your dreams are great ways to honor and bring closure to these nights.  What jewels of insight did you receive during these nights?  Did you have any particular insights or visions about your year that you could write down?  What were the seeds that you were consciously planting and how can you continue to water, feed and nurture them throughout the year?  If these twelve nights were a microcosm of your year, what might 2012 look like for you?

Take a moment to contemplate or write down your thoughts, to soak in this, to breathe, and to just be.

With immense gratitude and blessings on your journey this year,
                    Catherine

Why not give it all we've got? 01/05/2012

Today is the last synchronized moment of peace for Twelve Nights of Peace. Today also represents December on this map.  What are your greatest visions for a world of peace for next December and beyond?  If you could dream your biggest dream for the state of the world, what would it look like, smell like, taste like and feel like?  What if collectively we were all to dream of a thriving, just, sustainable world?  Could we tip it?  Could we make it happen?

                    I say, why not try....

The Magic of the Holy Nights 01/02/2012

This is a featured post written by a guest author and expert on the Holy Nights, Claudia McLaren Lainson.

In the darkness of Winter’s night, when the great breath of the Earth Mother finds its greatest point of inhalation, human beings are afforded the grace to touch into both magic and miracle. In the pause between her mighty in-breath and out-breath there is a still-point of rest. This still-point has long been known as the Holy Nights. In these blessed Nights, the angels circle the globe as if in a great cosmic dance. They long to speak to listening human hearts. Throughout the ages the ‘listening ones’ on earth have heard the angelic choir; they have received messages of Peace and Love. What is received during these sacred days and nights, resounds a thousand-fold in the year that follows. In this year before us, a great light is striving to find willing human hearts. May we each be the ‘listening ones’ during these Holy Nights. May we work with angels.

What if each of these days represented a month of the following year? 12/29/2011

In Anthroposophy, it is thought that each of these twelve Holy Nights represents a month of that upcoming year.  So the 25th would be roughly the month of January, the 26th would be roughly February and so on.  It's as if each day becomes a microcosm, a tiny window into that month.  The ground is very fertile during this time to plant the seeds that you would like to see blossom and bear fruit during those months.  Today is thought to be symbolic of approximately the time around the month of May.  What seeds do you want to see flourish during May?  Maybe you can jot them down or take a moment to visualize them.  What people would you like to see?  You could send them a quick email or phone call.  What feelings would you love to feel?  Why not feel them now?

You are welcome to take this or leave it.  It is just food for thought.

Finally, I spent the morning writing out my visions for the year in full color with lots of juicy adjectives.  It was such a joyful and enlivening experience!  If you could do, be and have exactly what you wanted, what are your biggest dreams?

For some reason, the facebook event for Twelve Nights of Peace appears to have been shut down.  We can't figure it out, but we decided to move some of the content onto the website.  Please feel free to share your visions, dreams and intentions - both for your own life and for the planet - in the comment section on this blog and also on the PeaceRipples facebook page.

How has everyone been honoring the daily moment of peace?  I'd like to share about my prayer on the first day.  It was a beautiful and poignant moment.  I was with my extended family, sitting around a crackling fireplace, snow sparkling under the sun outside, and all of us feeling warm in our hearts.  A family member had just gotten out of the hospital, adding to the sweetness of all of us being together.  My uncle brought out his gong from Bhutan.  After a few moments of silence and inward contemplation, I looked around the room at everyone's serene faces deep in meditation.  It was beautiful.

Here is a short snippet video of the gong.

Please feel free to share your experiences of the moment of peace.  There are so many ways to honor it.  This is only one example.
